I often feel as though I’m living two lives. One is creative and the other…well…less so. This site is all about that first one. The most important one. The one where I make music, write, take pictures, think my biggest thoughts and do all kinds of other stuff that, for me, gives the rest of my time here meaning.

This site is about the creative process and my personal experiences with it. I cover a wide range of subjects in that area. Those might include things I’ve actually created, others who inspire me, why I think creativity is so important, challenges I’ve faced and solutions I’ve found. They may also include philosophical ramblings or what amounts to a transcription of my thought process as I wrestle with a particular idea (I’ll try to keep that to a minimum).

The range of topics might seem a little wide but, the way I see it, creativity is as much about what goes in as what comes out. The art you make is, in many ways, an exhalation of the experiences you have. In that sense, everything is relevant, so you won’t see me doing much editing in terms of subject matter. Some posts will have a plain and obvious connection to this “About” page. Other posts may seem unrelated and possibly even incoherent.

The aim is to write about all of the things which contribute to–and detract from–my effort to live the most creative life possible and to share some of what I create. After all is said and done, I hope you will find some value in it.
